After several years as a successful rock musician signed to EMI, James turned his attention to financial services and this dual path of art and commerce led him to the Independent Film Finance sector. James has raised the finance for several projects in recent years but has also been involved in producing a number of Independent Films including “Back in Business”, “Surviving Auschwitz ““Let Us Prey “and “Sailing with Miss Sadie”.  James currently has a number of TV Projects in development and is currently working with on a number of projects including “The Whiskey Robber”; “Rolling Over”, the story of “The Small Faces”.

Daniel Lisanti- Non-Executive Director

Daniel is a highly experienced executive who has great Analytical abilities with expert great knowledge in economic informatics which is divided into three areas (1) the study of a computerized economic society (2) systems science and (3) information science. Daniel has extensive experience in areas such as formulating corporate strategy and developing and creating the marketing strategies for companies he has worked for.

Daniel is structured and goal orientated, and all these abilities will play an important role to the executive board as the business develops and grows.

Robert Guest – Company Secretary and Compliance Officer

Robert Guest read Jurisprudence at Balliol College, Oxford and qualified as a solicitor. He specialised in the financial services sector. He was the Legal Counsel and Compliance Director at SG Asset Management and held a similar position at Johnson Fry. Since 2010 he has his own consultancy business and more recently, he has joined a regulated firm called F2 Capital Ventures LLP, a firm known for raising capital for companies developing cancer treatments.

Robert can assist in contractual drafting, corporate documents, investment memoranda, prospectuses and marketing materials.

Robert will be key to the board when it comes to corporate matters such as boardroom meetings and ensuring that investors receive regular updates on the progress of the company.

Willi Kamarad – Producer

Willi was born in Southern Bavaria, where he now resides, married, two children.

Willi left school at 18 years and took a job at a VCR distribu7on house – they were a supplier of videos to the Bavarian region and Willi’s responsibility was to decide which films went to which stores.  After six months, his CEO established a new company ‘Video Giant’ (Blockbuster equivalent). Within the year, Willi took the opportunity to buy one of these outlets in Murnau and set up his own business (1988-2012), illustrating his entrepreneurial spirit at the mere age of 20!

Willi’s love for films was insatiable and whilst having his video store business for 24 years, since 2005, he has worked as an independent Sales Agent for Italian producers, selling German speaking territories.

In 2003 Willi founded “Dreamfilms GmbH” drawing on his distribu7on and sales expertise and focusing on producing and directing, initially music videos and short films, but inevitably producing his first feature films.

He has more than 20 movies in early and mid-stages of development and production.

In 2017 Willi founded Dreamfilms Bulgaria with two producing partners from Bulgaria. Since 2020 Willi is part of the team of Good Screenplays Atlanta, USA Willi is a prolific producer and has made many horror films here are is one of is films.

Stephen Cranny – Producer/Writer

Stephen’s first feature, Out Of Depth, enjoyed a theatrical release in 2000. His latest films are Wide Blue Yonder, Curse of the Phoenix, Anchor Bay’s World War Dead : Rise Of The Fallen, which he co-produced and Heretiks and Howl, which he line produced. He has also produced numerous corporates and commercials for clients ranging from On Digital to Body Shop.

Ed Christmas – Director/Writer/Producer

Over the last decade, Ed has made films for a vast array of clients including L’Oreal, The White Company, Vauxhall, Skoda, Don Julio and Heineken. As well as directing, Ed is also an award-winning cinematographer and has shot several short and independent feature films, including “Pictures of Lily” (2013). In 2017 Ed made his debut feature film as writer and director with “The Man With Four Legs”, which won Best Feature Film at the Thin Line Film Festival and has been described by critics as “Elegantly disturbing…A genre-busting whirlwind of beautiful and insidious artistry” (Film Enquiry) and “A great surprise and a film that makes one think” (UK Film Review).

Dr Rebekah Louisa Smith – Film Festival Consultant

Dr Rebekah Louisa Smith (aka Rebekah Film Dr) is an award-winning consultant and media personality with over 10 years of film festival strategy consulting experience.

After choosing not to pursue a career in Academia, Rebekah began her film industry career in 2009, working as one of the producers of Wales’ most successful national horror film festival; the ‘Abertoir Horror Festival’, which is part of the prestigious European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation.

Rebekah & the hard-working team behind her company; The Film Festival Doctor, are creators of success and are committed to nurturing filmmakers in order to help them secure an abundance of film festival screenings, win awards and a positive recognition within the film industry. Sadie Kaye – Actress/Writer/Producer/ Broadcaster Head of Social Responsibility

As a presenter and filmmaker Sadie brings warmth and her own brand of comedic charm to complex, difficult subjects. A maverick social entrepreneur, Sadie spent four years mentoring young offenders at London’s Feltham Young Offenders Institute, before inspiring some ambitious charity projects, taking groups of young offenders from The Prince’s Trust abroad to engage in thrill-seeking, skill building projects where she could intensively mentor them. With these young people’s help, she has sailed the Atlantic, coerced teenage street gangs to disarm in Caracas slums, rebuilt a dilapidated orphanage and helped protect endangered wildlife. Glenda Daly

Glenda Daly has vast management and communications experience and is currently being put to strong use by Clever Films in her key role as a chief operations officer.

Glenda co-founded a community arts company, the Greenhouse Arts Theatre. For over five years, she was responsible for the day to day running of the group and managed musicians, artists, and performers for the company. Her role included the production and management of events. She was also in charge of marketing; organising photo shoots, rehearsals, recording sessions, and showcasing artists’ talents through live gigs and media performances.

Prior to this, Glenda had worked as a senior PA for companies including Bio Sculpture, a large beautician training company, where she was PA to the director and handled all training, appointments, and staff management.

Glenda’s duties as  Clever Films Chief Operating Officer include overseeing all new submissions of film and music content. In this capacity, Glenda is the first port of call for liaising and dealing with artists, producers, and writers. As well as being the driving force of Clever films administrative team, Glenda’s a creative powerhouse and ensures all content passed onto our producers adheres to Clever Films stringent standards of quality control.
